I've got a story to tell & I want you to hear until the tears start to well in my eyes
Do you mind if I lean on you? Sit by me.
See I’ve lost my best friend, my brother, my twin, my next of kin
Nothing wrong just trying to hold on; won’t put him behind me.
I just want you here, you don’t need to speak
And I’ll lean on you once you don’t cry for me… and you remind me.
Four colour pills because they think that I’m ill
I can’t sleep, gone beyond counting sheep; when I try then I wake up pining
In the street the dogs start to bark I hear a voice I see a silhouette picture, a boy
He’s trying to find me.
I call out his name as he shows his back
And it’s always the same, it all goes so fast… and he reminds me.
Morning arrives blue skies filled with hope I’m alive I can cope
I feel fine once I don’t start to cry, I’ll keep smiling.
And today I’ll smile back on all that smile first
It’s a tactic to disguise the hurt I’m hiding inside me.
I just want you here, you don’t need to speak I’ll lean on you once you don’t cry for me… and you remind me.
